Beauty Review: DHC Cleansing Oil
Saturday, December 12, 2009

I have seemed many positive reviews about DHC Cleansing Oil, and was lucky to get myself one sample during the Cozycot swap gathering.
However, I am utterly disappointed with it because it does not remove all of my makeup, especially eyes areas. It also leaves my skin very oily, causing slight breakout. Worst of all, it stung my eyes quite badly.
IMO, I feel Fancl Mild Cleansing Oil wins DHC Cleansing Oil in all areas!

Beauty Review: Biotherm White Detox Base

The first step before makeup application is Makeup Base. I did not know about this till few years ago when I have keen interest and influence from beauty forums.
Well, don't under-estimate makeup base because there are differences between using it or not.
When I use Biotherm White Detox Base, I noticed that it helps to prep my skin, keeping it hydrated, which really aid makeup application. Makeup application becomes easier and blend better.
It clever "color-changing" properties, I am using purple, help to correct my skin tone making them appearing smoother and even. It has some shine particles which my skin appears more healthy and glowy.
Lastly, it helps to keep my makeup staying power longer, so I do not have to touch up so many times. Overall, I am pleased!

Beauty Review: Ardell Lashgrip

How can you do without eyelash glue if you love wearing falsies!
I am no exception too, I love wearing falsies because it helps to enhance my eyes, making them looking attractive, dreamy and bigger!
I believe a good eyelash glue affects the wearing, shape of falsies and staying power. I have tried Ardell LashGrip and I like it a lot! It comes in black colored glue, which really helps to conceal any gap between the falsies and eyes if you did not stick them perfectly, and it also create the illusion of a black eyeliner's job.
It is durable too, falsies is still in good shape and did not fall out, despite wearing it for more than 12 hours! Best of all, just a little is what you need; little tube goes a long way!
The only downside I feel the glue is slightly smelly. I don't now why, but I guess no product is perfect but this has delivered and fullfilled my requirements! :)

Company CNY dinner @ OCBC Peach Garden
Overdued post and pictures!
My ex-company 2009 CNY dinner @ Peach Garden OCBC building. We had a big private room to ourselves and splendid views of the CBD areas.
I always have a soft spot for high level dinning, I feel extremely fabulous & thrilled observing from the top, enjoying and savouring the views!
We were treated to a 9 course meal, and the food were superb - awfully delicious!!! I am too engrossed with my food that I forgot to take pictures, such a pity! :(
The service were fantatic too, the servers were very attentive, changed our plates and top-up our drinks very often! And the dessert were on house!
The company also planned a surprise birthdaycelebration for the FEB babies, my boss was so shocked! It's really fun to see everyone enjoyed themselves so much! I MISS my ex-bosses and colleagues! =)

Dinner @ Xin Wang HK Cafe
Went for a dinner @ Xin Wang HK Cafe located @ Northpoint's new wing. The cafe is quite spacious with comfty red sofa, and pretty good service make the dinner welcoming and homely.
Among the dishes we ordered, the curry is surprisingly nice with thick savory gravy and tender chicken meat with crunchy potatoes! I also like the bread, soft and with the right amount of sweetness!
However, the chicken chop rice is disappointing... The chicken chop is a tad tasteless and the rice is kinda of hard.... I think the chef needs to do a lot of improvement for the noodle because I feel VAINpot can cooks better noodle than this...
However, I feel it's quite a nice place to have light snacks...

The HK dramas that I have completed 2

The Academy 學警雄心
The series follows the lives of a group of new Hong Kong Police recruits as they proceed through training at the Hong Kong Police training school (PTS). Within these 27 weeks, each of them learned their lessons, each of them become more mature, each of them become a better person as the relationship between the students and the teachers grows stronger and stronger.

On The First Beat 學警出更
The series is a direct sequel to 2005's The Academy (學警雄心). The main cast features Ron Ng, Sammul Chan and Chin Ka Lok from the original series and new cast including Michael Tao, Sonija Kwok, Joey Yung, Kenny Kwan and Kate Tsui. The story continues on with the two male leads in the series with their growth as young police officers with personal conflicts in their bonds as friends and romantic relationships. The drama is about the life of a group of Hong Kong police officers and cadets inside and outside of work.
E.U. or Emergency Unit 學警狙擊
It is a direct sequel to 2007's On The First Beat (學警出更) and the third installment of The Academy series. The main cast features Ron Ng, and Sammul Chan from the original series and new cast including Michael Miu, Kathy Chow, Elanne Kong, and Michael Tse. Michael Miu takes on a new role as a triad boss, which is unrelated to his role in The Academy. The show is best remembered for the performance of Tse's character, Laughing. Because of it, Turning Point.a spin-off film was created for this character.
Unlike the two previous installments, "E.U." focuses on one particular secret triad, while the first two focuses more on the general lives of the characters.
Review:
Highly addictive and interesting sequels, which focuses on the lives, problems and situations that the HK police faced during PTS, and during employment.

me in short bob!
I'm in short bob! Is it nice? :P
I love Evelyn Aw, she's 1 of my fave hair stylists from Chapter 2. Another hot fave is Dickson, and both of them are stationed in PS.
Evelyn is one of the nicest of sweetest stylist I met, she is really friendly, patient and I like her for her honesty & willingness to go extra miles for me.
For instance, she will give me honest feebacks about my hair condition, and would advise the best treatment, or services for me. However, she is not the kind of stylist who is pushy about sales and stress you to go for the most expensive items in the menu.
Also, she is willing to work 3 ways past her working hours to finish my rebonding, and there's no extra OT salary for her! Hence, I am recommanding her to you should you need a good and reliable stylist. :)
